Fully revised the new version of DVO Fix is loaded with new features for automatically repairing minor and major imperfections associated with degraded film, such as blotches, staining and physical damage, including:

Stereoscopic 3D

• New stereo compare mode
Anaglyph automatically compares left & right images on the stereo timeline to help optimize colour finishing of mono and stereoscopic content with no additional specialised hardware to view the stereo effect.

New Compare Mode

The new blend mode gives a 50% blend mode option in between two user defined sources to help optimise colour finishing of mono and stereoscopic content. This can be used in a grading situation, confidence check, or in a stereo timeline.

New Color Isolation Keyer

The Nucoda grading product line now has a new innovative colour isolation module - the ‘I-keyer’. Aimed at fast, easy & precise colour isolation for more complex keys, I-keyer eliminates the use of shapes for isolations. Features include:

File Formats

The Nucoda and Phoenix platforms are continually increasing their file I/O capabilities, and with the 2010 release users can now work natively with Arri Alexa raw files & P2 AVC Intra, plus export MXF Op1a files for broadcast files servers.

Dailies Workflow Enhancements

• ALE
All Individual Clip metadata, ASC CDL(SOP Grade) , plus an extra set of custom metadata can be exported to 3rd party editing systems by using the Avid Log Exchange (ALE) Export option. Avid Log Exchange (ALE) is a platform-independent file format primarily intended for exchanging video logging data.

• Expended clip metadata
Additional clip information such as additional scene/take data or XML metadata from supported cameras/systems, are automatically or manually stored and subsequently exported from the system in ALE or MXF files for enhanced post production workflows.

• Audio WAV conform

Users can now conform the Broadcast WAV audio file with the help of an Edit Decision List (EDL) or AAF to perform manual trim on audio for fine tuning.

Improved List Merge

• Record based merge of grades
When loading an EDL it is now possible to do a merge to your current compositions effects by using a record timecode. Particularly useful for stereoscopic production where the tape names for left and right eye cameras do not match.

• Original conform metadata saved within compositions
The original source tape name and timecode are now saved as metadata for each clip. This enables subsequent merging of effects and colour values when revised EDL's are loaded and allows for continual re-editing and merging of grades to newer versions of the production.

Monitoring Improvements

• DVS 4k card
Adds new 4K modes for monitoring: 4096x2160 24 P and Psf. The card also supports 4K output tiled over 4 SDI outputs at resolutions of 4096x2160 and 3840x2160 24P.

• Format conversion on video output
User configurable format conversion to the video output. There is a new dropdown in the preference UI which allows selection of different conversion types.

Thumbnails Improvement
